Surprise Project
This project is located in a great retirement community located in Surprise, AZ. With a beautiful view looking out to the golf course. Creating depth, height, layers with texture and use of modern materials with the minimal space that was given in the backyard. For front yard it was allowing the depth to be captured but also balanced with various elements that were minimal but added to the experience.

Balancing the act of depth, layers, heights, textures, tones, and materials. The goal for me as a designer is creating movement with these various items to create a peaceful design.
Scope
Incorporate architecture from home to landscape design by utilizing similar materials and structures that embody the home.

Total Built-Up Area: 3,815 sq. ft.
Number of Floors: 1.
Garage Parking Capacity: 2 Car Garage
Bedrooms: 4 bed and 4.5 Bath
Special Features: Custom Floating Fire Feature and Water Feature.
Design Approach and Execution
Concept and Vision
Design Philosophy: Designer's conversation with the client inspired the design. The approach with the clients is to learn their needs and what they like and prioritize. I start with asking questions that later we can go into depth and gather information. Vision was to create depth, height, layers with texture and use of modern materials with the minimal space that was given in the backyard.
Key Features: Shade wall structure over part of the pool/spa , with a rain shower curtain over the spa.
Inspirations: Surrounding Sedona Landscape.
Execution
Phase 1: Site Analysis
The Designer went on job site to scope out what the topography is like and take Photos for of Site for Drafters to reference and use to build 3D topography.
Phase 2: Design and Planning
Used Construction Documents to build house in 2D and 3D according to Specs.
Put the Designers drawings into 2D software.
Columns that matched architecture
Floating fire feature out of steel
Custom water feature
Turf in a more design aesthetic in front yard
Only item would be the turf and low water use plants
Phase 3: Sustainable Materials and Technologies

Low voltage lighting
Electric ignition on water feature and fire feature.
The Spurise Project was more than we could imagine. The craftsmanship of the design was aesthitically pleasing and the space was highly functional.
